Social Media and Future

Impact on Future

Social media is not only the present or temporary phenomenon rather it is a long term culture which will sustain and will become more deeper, diverse and more wide with passage of time. It can be clearly seen from the trends which I have mentioned in my previous blog that social media is expanding at a very fast pace, rather than entertainment it has become the utmost priority of our lives.

In our society that person is consider as ill social who is not having his account on Facebook, twitter or LinkedIn as these has become the meters for measuring the social presence of an individual.
It can be clearly seen that social media is expanding it’s vast wings over every sphere of this modern world. Every tiny home to the towering building are occupied with this faculty. No matter which business one carries, what is the social status or what is the employment index, irrespective of any aspect all the people from every field of life are considering the social network as an indispensible part of there life.

In future all of the important works will be fully dependent on this aptitude, from the field of education to health departments till defense everything will rely on social networking. All the companies are utilizing the social media for their promotion, surveys and to establish the customer relation marketing. It can be clearly understood that in future there would be special department for social networking along with other departments.

Social networking Statistics

Social networking has been accepted and used at the fast pace but its figures are more shocking than we think of them. Social networking sites have been used by students, , adults, business professional with different purposes and their statistics are following mentioned below.
Facebook has more than 1 billion users which is 1/7 of the world population, out of which 552 million users are those who uses it on daily basis. Twitter has 559 million users and is yet growing. Both sites are used by females more than males by 20%. 50% of smartphones remains connected to the Facebook daily and almost 250 million photos are shared by networking. Twitter has 340 million tweets per day, 11 new accounts are created in one second over the world, which means 1 million people joined twitter daily. Facebook is number one marketing tool followed by twitter used by businesses.
LinkedIn and Google+ are used by 175 million and 400 million respectively. Google+ is used by 69% of males of total population; however LinkedIn has more female users that are 55% whereas there are only 45% males. LinkedIn has 61% user who use it as primary professional networking site and 42% users update their profile regularly.
YouTube videos have more than 4 billion views per day which is more than half of the global population globally and 700 videos of YouTube are shared on the twitter in every one minute which implies the posting of more than 1008000 videos in a day.  People who are having their authentication to mobile pocket usage they uses more than 90% of their data in social networking only which is a huge chunk out of total usage.

The above given statistics clearly shows that social networking in itself is becoming the vital component of the lives of people both personally as well as professionally. That time is not far away when earth will be called as e-earth and humans will become e-humans as everything will be derive by the electronic generation rather than generation of humans.

Impact of networking on human relations

Social media is not only a single word rather it is that vital phenomenon which has changed the world. Some people says that it has made the world a better place to live as well as interact but there are those also who thinks that it ha depleted all the cordial relations that exists in a family as well as society. People has become more of e-people rather than social.

This quote by Albert Einstein is the clear depiction of modern era society as well as mode of interaction, there are people of Y-generation who have spoken less but typed more, who have express less but used emoticons more to replace there emotions. Technology has surpassed our human interactions. This is the matter of fact that social media is not that much social as it seems, I don’t hearty condemn the concept of social websites I am just upset from their usage and utility. People can use this platform in a way better way but they hadn’t rather it has become a platform of incidents as well as misusage of photos as well as information.
There are some users of Facebook who gives their account number along with a photo of some imaginary patient and request the other users to share the photo and donate the money to that given account and who knows to what that money is utilize.
It has also became a vital source for some illicit activities to take place as some terrorist has used it in quite a useful way for them and has interacted with each other in codes form of photos and other visual aids.
To sum-up I would like to say that technology has no feelings and no nature as it is neutral in nature but it is in hands of people to use it in a proper way which is not taking place .

Business world and Social networking

As we know that Social networking has played its huge role in education, on the other side professionals are also using social networking sites to increase efficiency of business. We can see that every corporation has its own websites through which we get information about them. However, these companies use various social networking sites to enhance their profit.

Things are now easy for marketing executives to promote their product or service through social sites. For an example, company released its product related videos on YouTube which gives information to the customers or Youtubers about the launch of new product and its specifications.
Furthermore, companies conducts surveys via these sites because every person pays part of his time to the internet and it is not difficult and time consuming for people to click on preferred option. Users can give feedback on their service so that companies can improve their service. In this way companies could understand customer’s perception about their brand and companies could track about the image of their brand in target market and overall competition.
The social networking sites leads to the increase in new business promotions as well as some web based businesses. LinkedIn allows business professionals to create their professional image on the internet; with the help of this they do advertising or recruiting.

Social networking affecting education

The examples of social networking sites, Facebook has more than 500 million and Twitter has more than 200 million users. Students and teenagers use these social networking sites more than other age group. There is a lot of difference in the past education and present education which is carried by the rise of technology.

The use of social networking sites has changed the way of study. The social media allows students to connect with each other. They can discuss and help each other which make the study more efficient. By spending time on the internet, they learn more about the computer and technology. Their computer skills would helpful in their academic as well as professional life. By using social networking sites, students are able to know the information or trends which are going in the market and help them in studies. Wikipedia makes the things easier for the students to get deep knowledge about any topic. Students can contact the professionals related to their field through the social sites such LinkedIn and they can get experience shared by them on twitter or Facebook.

On the other side, Social networking has very adverse effect on studies. Students are becoming fully dependent on the internet to make their assignments done. These social networking sites are also a distraction for the students when students do multitasks such as opening YouTube or Facebook, show less academic performance. Websites having features spell and grammar check is the hindrance in the grammar proficiency of students. Last but not least, as students spend their most of time on social networking sites chatting with their friend, they are less able to communicate properly with people verbally.
